I cannot understand the connection they tried to make. Fossil fuels, climate change, and volcanoes on the moon? Why even bring up that chain of logic?
Another thing I notice is, at least in America, is that it's almost an article of faith for a right winger to deny climate change and show contempt for environmentalism. Those issues were more centrist at one point (since the Earth is everyone's problem), but now if you say anything about the environment or climate that shows concern, you are a hippie communist America hater. Or is this just my impression?
As for the climate change thing, they need to at least know that it is possible and that even if we don't need to worry now, it will become an issue as we burn more fossil fuels. And take a look at those funding things bashing climate change the most? What do they all have in common? That alone is enough to be concerned.
