The Muppets

#1

Post by Calamity Panfan » Fri Nov 25, 2011 11:13 pm

Just saw it a few hours ago. There hasn't been a movie I've enjoyed this much since I saw Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I had a huge smile on my face throughout the entire movie. It's hilarious, with fantastic celebrity cameos (that I won't spoil because some are just ridiculously funny and I think I would've laughed even harder if I didn't know they were appearing) and some great songs (courtesy of Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords fame).

It's probably my favorite movie that I've seen all year, and I think if anything, "Man or Muppet" is a shoe-in for Best Original Song at the Oscars.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

Man or Muppet was so, so good. The whole movie was great--like you, I seemed to have a smile plastered on my face the entire time. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm thinking about seeing this. I love Muppets, and I've only heard good things about this film so far.

If I hadn't already been laughing the whole time, I totally would've started at "Cluck You."

And remember, "I'm-a very manly Muppet!"

Just saw this last night. Laughed the entire time. I love how it captured the humor of the old muppets and then added its own twist. Cameos were hilarious. I'm a fan of Party of One. Bret knocked it out with the music in this movie. The audience in the movie theater was so engaged just how the audience in the Muppet Show showing were. Go see it if you get the chance.

I also have to say that the Toy Story Toon that shows before the movie had me in stitches as well. The toys that Buzz meets are just brilliant.

As you can tell from my current PDN, I thought the Toy Story short was one of the best things in the world ever.

It was good, but I wasn't expecting to have the end of Toy Story 3 spoiled for me at a completely unrelated movie. :(

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

^Or 2. Or Ratatouille (fortunately, "Your Friend the Rat" doesn't spoil anything from that, so watching the Pixar Shorts collection was safe).

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

At least Ratatouile and TS3 are relatively recent. How have you not seen 2?

I would imagine. (You'll notice I'm not so caught up about missing Cars 2.)

I heard Cars 2 wasn't all that great. Now, they're making Planes.

^ Not really "they" since Pixar's not involved in it at all. It's just a direct-to-DVD cash-in by Disney to milk the Cars name for all it's worth

Saw this movie yesterday. It was pretty awesome, and the songs were actually pretty catchy.
