You thought Lucas was going to leave his movies alone, right? HAHAHAHAHA, NOPE.

- Puppet Yoda is replaced with CGI Yoda in TPM.

- The cry Obi-wan makes in ANH to scare off the Sand People has been changed into some kind of hideous, drunken wail.

- Yoda and the Ewoks now blink, thanks to CGI. (Okay, that's not so bad.)

- The door to Jabba's palace is redone in CGI for... some reason.

- Sebulba (or a member of his species) has a cameo in Jabba's palace.

- Well... just watch the video.

As much as I hate how Lucas has continued to not understand what the fans actually want in the Star Wars films, and made multiple pointless changes that add nothing and detract from the story, I'm actually glad he replaced the god awful Yoda puppet from episode one. The puppet in the original films managed to look convincing, so how come the one made nigh on thirty years later looked like a waxy, creepy puppet?

[rant]That said a lot of the changes he's made over the years just astound me. I mean for one there's the 'Nooo!' outbursts from Vader which just seem stupid and out of place. HE'S TELEGRAPHING HIS ATTACK! How does the emperor not just back hand the idiot and go back to frying Luke? Or the fact that now Hayden Christensen is in Return of the Jedi, making no sense as the Anakin ghost at the end looks like a young man, whereas Obi wan's ghost looks like an old guy. And I'm not even going to explain why I hate in the re-releases of a new hope where Han Solo dodges a laser blast. I realise that two of these changes are from an earlier edition, but my point still stands.[/rant]

All in all I don't like most of these changes. If only Lucas would remove medichlorians, that would be an actual improvement. Hell, here's what I want to know: Why, if all that people want is the original versions of these films, does Lucas not just give us them?
I\'m cold I want another straight jacket!
you buck futter!

Yeah, that's just we need---more Vader yelling 'NOOOOO'. And right at the pivotal moment of the whole damn franchise, too. Way to go, Jorge.

You're not getting it. Clearly, Vader yelling "NOOOOO!" is symbolic. He yelled it as he became Vader, and now he yells it at the moment of his redemption. And thus the great circle is complete. He dies as he lived. Yelling "no".

It could've been worse. He could've been yelling "YES YES OH GOD YES AH AH" sorta like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally.

This list of changes isn't exactly worrisome.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
