The Looney Tunes Show
Hoo boy.
Most interestingly, it features the return of Owl Jolson of the I Love to Singa fame. Gee, I wonder how that's gonna turn out.

I honestly like this show. Sure, it feels somewhat like a remake of the original, but kept the spirit of what make it entertaining. The slapstick. However... unlike a lot of other slapstick comedies, it doesn't rely on shock humor or gross-out tactics.
That puts it miles above a lot of other CN originals. Atleast, IMO.

Daffy's VA is the initial successor to Blanc (same guy doing Bugs voice).
The whole show is a reimagining of the characters, the creators said from the get go they didn't want to do anything like the original shorts because they can't do it justice.
You have to look at it from a "new take on the characters/alternative universe" perspective rather than a "why are they doing this" in order to enjoy it.

I was real skeptical when I first heard it because I thought the same thing as everyone else "Oh dear God, not another weak attempt to cash off the franchise", but after a while someone told me about the premise of it and the writer's feelings.Antisocial wrote:You sound particularly savvy, Andre.
What's your personal take on it? I've been thinking about watching it some more.
After hearing that, I decided to give it a chance, and it actually is pretty unique.
For one I like the fact that the characters retain their bare traits: Bugs is still smug and sarcastic, Daffy is still complete jerkface, etc. Yosimite kind of bugs me because they've made him "independent, annoying neighbor" and the whole 180 flip on Lola to make people forget about Space Jam does the same too.
Overall, I think it's something you have to give a shot and judge for yourself. Ignore the new "Merrie Melodies" (like Grilled Cheese and Blow My Stack) and the 3D Road Runner and it's a solid show
