BTW, I am also a witch.

Depends on the sort of genres you like to watch.

I've been watching Nichijou (slice of life/crazy wacky stuff) and A-Channel (high school girls). Out of those two, I'd only recommend Nichijou, but even then I'd understand if it's not anyone's cup of tea.

The big anime of last season was Puella Magi Madoka Magica (I mean, seriously, checkout the tag cloud for that anime). I'd certainly recommend it to you; try watching at least episode 3.

Some other anime that might be interesting, but I haven't looked into it yet:
C: The Money of Soul and Possibility
Hanasaku Iroha

There's some guy which goes by the charming moniker "chartfag" who makes pretty comprehensive visual charts of the anime of every season, so you can also check that out (first hit on Google search)

I love anime, but don't have many ways to watch it, so I probably won't be of much help. However, I can list some that I think you'd enjoy, though they may not necessarily be new.

You've probably watched, or just aren't interested in Death Note. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood came out recently.

Oh, there's Casshern: Sins that was translated recently. Also, I've been seeing on the DVR guide that there's some anime called 'Kekkaishi' or something like that on.

What? What makes you think I know anything about new anime? I haven't watched anything "new" in awhile. I've just been watching older stuff.

The newest thing I've seen is a few episodes of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. And the first season of Arakawa Under the Bridge. And like two episodes of Moryo no Hako. [strike]And ponies.[/strike]

I'm not in the position to recommend anything. Although, I've been wanting to watch some Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Especially since some singers I like covered the ending theme.

I think Steins;Gate has been pretty good so far. I actually like all of the characters, and it has a pretty awesome concept.
Only problem so far is that it's been a bit slow. It's only 9 episodes in though, so it's got time.

Nichijou is also pretty great. C has the best concept of the season, but I can't say I've been too fond of the show so far.

Okay, um... Oh, there's this new anime on that I saw recently. Yeah, I think it was called... Dragon Ball Z Kai? Yeah, that sounds about right.

^ Well, considering Nicktoons hasn't finished airing the whole series, I'd say it's somewhat new.

Actually, I'd recommend it. It's still pretty slow-paced compared to some shows, but it's MUCH, MUCH more focused on the story than the original was.

I find Nichijou hit-and-miss in terms of greatness. There's entire sketches which are like "it'd probably be more funny/interesting if I were from Japan", while other sketches are like "this is so incredibly awesome!".

I'm going to watch Madoka too. :D I'm partially spoiled already, so I'm compelled to watch.
