Late.
I only just now watched episode 10. Powerful stuff!
Loved the character progression of shy little girl to Business Homura. Those scenes where she's looking up how to make bombs and then walking into a Yakuza den to pick up guns? Awesome sauce.
Though, I think she's be a lot more successful with plan "Save Madoka" if she just told everyone that Magical Girls turn into Witches. Kyuubey isn't exactly candid, but he hasn't out and out lied yet.
So, uh, apparently the final episodes have been delayed until further notice. The staff is, however, apparently aiming to have them aired sometime in April.

Good news: apparently episodes 11 and 12 will be airing on the 21st.
I guess Gabe decided to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Alright, episode 11 is downloaded!
Pre-Opening spoiler:
Crav's theory that Madoka was getting stronger with each iteration was right. Well, Kyubey is accepting it at least.
Kyubey's hypothesis: Homura's repeated time-travels has basically increased the amount of misfortune Madoka is forced to carry, which in turn determines her magical power. The fate lines of a bunch of parallel universes, which should have never interacted, are now focused on Madoka. Something along those lines.
"You've done great, Homura. You've raised Madoka to become the most powerful witch ever."
Whew, that was quite an episode. Just gotta wait for 12 to finish downloading...
EP 12 was a bit strange. Also surprisingly positive, I think. Kinda works after all that suffering.
So, yeah. Overall I liked the show a lot.
Here's some 8-Bit Madoka!
It's like the entire tone of the show changed suddenly. Didn't feel like it was the same thing, probably because it had a distinct lack of twists that made things even worse.
Instead of hope being smashed to tiny pieces and then ground down, it actually won out for once.
If anyone here has seen Serial Experiments Lain (or maybe End of Evangelion, somewhat) then this ending seems familiar.
I thought all that from Kyuubey about Madoka becoming a goddess was claptrap and deceit, but in the end it turned out to be more than true.
"Only the sickest of the mentally ill show emotion."
Just watched the last two episodes. Oh my God, that was amazing. I think I need a smoke or something.
The best parts of episode 11: I think the last twist was revealed in Madoka's trip through time. Cleopatra and Joan of Arc were both magical girls? That totally makes sense now that I think about it. The entire scope of the whole humanity/incubator relationship is mind-blasting.
Also, Homura's all-out-assault was the best piece of action I've seen. Riding a tanker truck full of explosives into a witch, then shooting missiles at it into a stadium filled with remote explosives. Awesome.
Episode 12 had the climax resolution. Madoka resolved the infinite sorrow generator by using all of her karmic powers to become a new rule of the universe: no more witches. There's a new magical threat instead of witches, and I assume those are just an excuse to keep magical girls around.
So in the end Mami, Kyouko, Homura are still around. And apparently they're pals with Kyuubey now. I'm kind of impressed how they resolved the infinite sadness spiral, and also left it open for a season two. Like, what're those things that replaced witches? Is Homura being best friends with god going to change things? Is this "happy end" just an even bigger fake-out for an even more unimaginable crapfest?
lol
From the Madoka wiki: "This fan artwork explains why Madoka becomes more powerful. The more Homura chases after Madoka to change her fate, the more cosmic karma Madoka accumulates, making her transformation into a powerful witch inevitable."
