I like to put the camera directly on the line and do 180 flips back and forth between the characters with symmetrical planimetric framings. Or just have it all in one long static shot from an interesting angle and maybe move into the 180 flips on the line.
But wait, we're supposed to be talking about a comic here, aren't we?

POOF! Dignity's gone!
Wow. I'm learning so much. I didn't even know about facetables.
So the perspective switched to the back on the last panel, eh? That was actually intentional, because 1: I didn't want to confuse the issue on Lybra's height because she's much shorter than portrayed there, so I switched to show her on a stool. 2: It was easier to draw the giant fairy on the left side so my drawing hand had something to rest on. Also, positioning her word balloon was easier, so I didn't have to draw long-ass, winding spikes to the balloons. I hate it when that happens.
But I wanted to draw the first two panels showing the character's front, just so I could draw the face. Drawing backsides is kinda boring.
...So, yeah.
...
^^ ...What? Comics? OH RIGHT--the comic.

Abracadabra, I'm an idiot.: Shoemi Tsuboshin
Hocus pocus, I'm roundhousing your face.: Michel Lapland

A face only a mother could love.
^ Most of the wacky hijinks occurs at the Soprano School District, part college, part high school. Other city schools include Contralto University and Treble Elementary. See the pattern?
...They all end with vowels.
The Barbarians used to belong to one of the city's basketball teams, the Bastaku Barbarians, but after their 67-game losing streak, they realized they sucked and let another team take over, with a new name. One of the original losers took the old name to Soprano. They fared better with it.

Sadly, such a collection does not exist in real life.
^^ Thanks. Admittedly, it's always a shock to me when some people post in my thread, and I'm all like, "Whoa--YOU read my crap??" Also, site's back up. Whoo.
^ Thank god I'm capturing some amount of realistic idiosyncrasies and not just making **** up.

M-capped: Maria Thompson
L-capped: Luizi Thompson
KO'd: Hinigata To

You thought I was kidding about this, were you? As unoriginal and contrived from sheer fanboyism these two are, they were actually created back in early 2008. I just haven't featured them in anything much. Predictably, they're Hinigata's friends. They're also not wearing the overalls in this one.Antisocial wrote:I have no creativity or originality. This will be more obvious when I introduce two other characters I got: Two sisters that cosplay the Mario Bros.

Nothing's better than these comics!
^ Yeah. I know you're all sitting back incredulously, thinking "...Really?", assuming it was a lame attempt at finding a counterpart to Luigi. It was. I made it up. Imagine my surprise when I found out later that it actually exists as a name.
Isn't it great how some things work out?
