I prefer using fireballs.

^ Would you believe that she's really short?

Or perhaps believe in my occasional incompetence in proportions?

...Forget I said that.

I audibly lol'd at the bracelet one. I don't do that very often at comics. :{)

Your names amuse me so. Is there any reason there's a large amount of Japanese names, other than the manga style?

I just read this whole thread. I couldn't stop reading. You are awesome, Antisocial. I am now officially a fan of your comics. Does your comic have a name?

I love your humor. The manga style is great. You're characters are so lovable. (That may have something to do with them being 97.5% females, but it takes more than an X-chromosome to be very lovable. I like your portrayal of their personalities and actions. There's so much more to love about girls than their bodies. But the big, round eyes don't hurt, though! :D )

Keep up the great work. I can hardly wait for more.

Do you have any more comics about the personifications? The one with Misanthropy and Antisocial was great. Toilet Piranha Plant, ha ha ha...

It was just a matter of time.

^^ [strike]It was the weeaboo in me that made me do it.[/strike] No, not really.

^ Hey, thanks, man. The tentative title is Extra Credit, which is something it might be called if this goes public. The Antisocial series is something different altogether that served as a basis of building up my artistic ability so those characters go WAY back, making Misanthropy one of the few surviving characters from then to go on into the schoolgirl series, as well as the nurse you see in several comics here (Tayzha). She was one of several prototypes from my experimenting-with-manga stage when I started this style.

If you're really curious, the Antisocial series stars Antisocial, a depressed janitor who manages The Building, an abandoned building that used to host VGF parties. Alongside him are Misanthropy, who's supposed to be his "assistant", Fizi, his excessively joyful and loving cousin, Lybra, his other cousin who serves as the straight man to everyone else, and Ia, a tall, unconfident fairy that's modeled after the basic manga woman and was banished from her world and now serves Antisocial...badly.

There are comics with them in it, and I'll see if I can find them. Most assume you know the characters, though. Also, I feel I should mention that Antisocial has a lot of other cousins that occasionally visit him and they're basically a circus freak show.

Cool, Yoki is like if Pigpen from Peanuts and Shiki from The World Ends With You had a daughter.

Also, "Extra Credit" appears to have been taken (kinda sorta):
Degrassi: Extra Credit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Degrassi Extra Credit #1 - Turning Japanese (comic book issue) - Comic Vine

It's still an awesome name, though. I like meaningful/punny names like that.

Managing an abandoned building? I can see why he might become a little anti-social. So the other characters in that series have normal names? I thought it would make more sense if they were all called by personifications of abstract ideas, like *The Pilgrim's Progress. But, hey it's your comic; all I can do is give you constructive feedback (which is basically just my opinion :\ ).

Thanks if you pull up some stuff from The Building for me to check out. Maybe I'll like it; maybe I won't. Extra Credit is definitely a hit in my opinion, though.

*The Pilgrim's Progress is a pretty cool book if you haven't checked it out. It's about the life of a Christian and even has a sweet battle scene. I mention it because the characters are named Christian, Obstinate, Pliable, Help, Worldly Wiseman, Formalist, Hypocrisy, Discretion, Piety, Prudence, Charity, Faithful, Talkative, Hopeful, Despair, Diffidence, and Temporary.

Fried Blooper on a stick, ha ha. I wouldn't eat it, either.

^ **** them. They already have that name for a comic? I hate that. I was surprised that some already used "Zaidon" on GameFAQs and YouTube... What the heck, man? I just made that name up randomly and someone else did, too?

^^That just raises the question of why there's a bleeping Degrassi comic in the first place.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

And now for something totally different.

^^^ I already had a feeling it got taken; HotD checked that for me, too. That's okay. I'm sure no one will get confused by the issu--
Degrassi Extra Credit #1 - Turning Japanese
what is this i don't even

^^ Some characters there have normal names (if you can call it that). Otherwise, Antisocial's cousins are composed of Bandits with names like Detachment, Isolation, Envy, Loner, Recluse, Konscience, and--funnily enough, never having heard of your book--Hypocrisy. Which just goes to show that I share John Bunyan's interest in naming characters after certain nouns.

As for their comics, here's one.

Image
With the watch: Fizi Philanthropy
Giant fairy: Ia - Antisocial's "guardian"
Yours truly: Antisocial
Hypnotist: Mesmer the Puppeteer - Antisocial's cousin

And a schoolgirl comic I came across from 2007.

Target: Zash Tekku
Pitcher: Xingo Taromujo

I think I've laughed at every one of these. Even the ones I didn't understand because they were drawn so awesomely.

IT'S LIKE I'M ACTUALLY PILOTING A GIANT ROBOT

It seems I've missed a day. Whoops.

Father's Day outing. You know how it is. (Or maybe you don't.)
