I can't see doing a reboot after a merely mediocre film like 3. Usually you reboot after a hilariously-awful sequel all but kills a waning franchise. Like with Batman, Superman, Star Trek, TMNT, and, arguably, James Bond.

Besides, odds are slim we'd get anything as awesome as BONNNNNNESAWWWWWW in the next Spidey origin flick. Or anywhere else, for that matter.

That's what they're really thinking about. They'll probably get Taylor Swift to play Mary Jane so that all her fans go see the movie too.

Not that I give a **** anyway, because it's already been amply demonstrated to me that neither Hollywood nor Marvel Comics cares anything about Spider-Man beyond the money they think he can rake in.

^Marvel already sold out Spider-Man with "One More Day" and "Brand New Day". I haven't expected anything good from the character since.
