YouTube - Ponyo - Official Trailer 2 [HD]

I don't think it'll exactly be top priority for me to see this. but this looks better than most of Disney's latest stuff, and you add in Miyazaki, this might be half way decent...

Your thoughts?

It won awards o'plenty in Japan last year. I think I'll be an elitist douchebag and wait for the DVD with the Japanese language track on it.

I might check it out once my sister inevitably buys the DVD.

^oh, Freshman year of Football camp...that sucked a lot.

I was already recovered by yesterday evening (stupid pink-eye). I guess you just get used to it after 3 years.

Princess Mononoke was a good movie.

Also, Spirited Away, and Castle in the Sky

I'm honestly not that bad. It's just a little soreness in my lower legs and arms when I lift them extremely high. Also neck. But not as much pain as I was in Wednesday night after 200 downups. [/michichat]

Definitely going to check out at least Spirited Away or maybe some other good anime movies if I stop at Blockbuster.

^ My Neighbor Totoro is my personal favorite that I've seen from Miyazaki thus far, and my favorite family-oriented film ever made.

I love Spirited Away, and I've seen a lot of his other major films. This looks as interesting as ever, and it has Liam Neeson. I mean really, **** the Japanese track, it has Liam Neeson.

Disney could've ****ed up the voices, but they probably did a decent job.

You honestly shouldn't think of it as a Disney film, they're just in charge of localization.

Totoro is one of my most favorite films, no lie. I mean, catbus.

Saw it today, totally worth it. It's a great family film, some of the parts were pretty fun, and the animation was great. All the fish looked really cool.

We went and rented a copy of the Japanese subbed DVD from our local awesome anime-filled DVD place, since I have no interest in the voices Disney has chosen. We'll be watching it today, I imagine.

The guy at the rental store announced with some confusion that the movie would be coming out in cinemas in like a month. Yeah. So? I'm not going to pay $30 to see it at a theater in a month when I can rent it now for $3.

Also, everyone should see My Neighbour Totoro, and Panda! Go, Panda! because they are awesome. Watch them. Now.
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

I've only seen "Spirited Away"and "Princess Mononoke" I might rent "Ponyo" when it's out on DVD, though knowing my luck the local place won't have it.
