Emmy nods: "30 Rock" gets 22!

Not 22 factorial, just 22.
"Mad Men" get 16 nominations.
"Family Guy" is the first cartoon since "The Flintstones" to get a nom for Best Comedy.

Jermaine Clement ("Flight of the Conchords", also nom'd for Best Comedy) and Jim Parsons ("Big Bang Theory") are up for Comedy Lead Actor, along with the usual suspects.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

30 Rock, The Office, Flight of the Conchords, or How I Met Your Mother?

The Emmys hate me. I can't honestly pick a favorite.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

Jemaine! That's so awesome for him (I don't think he'll win given the sheer popularity of Baldwin/Carrell, but it's still amazing).

And NPH is hosting! Definitely watching this year (unlike last year...*shudders*).

I didn't even realize there were that many Emmys. Did they invent several new catagories specifically for 30 Rock?

I believe it was a combo of the reality tv show hosts, including Heidi Klum, Ryan Seacrest, and Howie Mandel.

Yeah. Howie Mandel. I changed the channel after 10 minutes of his prattling.

NPH just hosted the Tony's and did awesome; he'll be great for this.

I actually prefer Bret though.

If not only for his awesome shirts.

I expect great things from NPH, as he is easily one of the best comedic actors out there.

^It'd be great to see NPH finally win his well-deserved Emmy,

Hopefully, next year both Jemaine and Bret will be nominated.

I remember Bobby's World was so much fun, but everything Mandel's done since then...isn't. (I kinda liked "Howie Do It", but improv & guerilla-comedy shows just can't seem to find a foothold anymore.)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
