Eh... I think someone who looks more like the book description would be better, and Laurie's not really all that close. Neither is Downey Jr. I miss Basil Rathbone.
Oh well, this should still be a good movie. I'm definitely going to go see it.

Looks pretty good, I might see it in theatres (I'll probably have a better chance due to the fact that my sister and mom are fans of Robert Downy Jr.) , but I'll probably end up seeing it on dvd.

I thought it was good, they probably could've cut a few minutes out, but the movie looked great and the acting was great as well (especially from Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law)
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

I thought it was a brilliant movie, great acting, and I love how everything came together in the end and made sense.

It was a pretty good movie, and I don't like many movies.

It looks horrible. Since when did Sherlock Holmes suddenly become a superhero?

God I wished my family enjoyed going to the theaters...Well besides me anyway. I LOVE the theaters and this movie looks super-ultra-mega awesome, which is more than none coming from me.

Superhero? Looks good, but I kind of see what you mean. It was pretty wierd in the trailer seeing Sherlock Holmes and some other guy beating the crap out of each other with clubs with their shirts off.
Doesn't exactly make him a superhero though, in my opinion.

[strike]kind of the reason i want to see it[/strike]
Well, it was stated by Guy Ritchie that he didn't want to stick to the whole classic Sherlock. You know, how people normally see him.

People normally see him as Basil Rathbone, because those movies kicked butt.
Still, Holmes was quite a bit more athletic in the books, so some actual fight scenes really aren't out of line.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I don't think many people knew what Holmes was like in the books.
