They're free, though, and generate interest for a show.
Buying dvds is good support for the anime. I think.

I'll change it tommorow, when I, you know, stop playing kingdom hearts.

Invariably, unless you have a private theater with projector.

Of course, I'm just being an ass because you were being an ass about the fact that I can afford to pay for goods and services. I mean, what is that aside from a dig at actually legitemately supporting the independent studios that spend time and money translating the shows you like? Unless you're watching 4kids **** or something. By all means, pirate away, then.

I'm sorry if I don't have a job like you and can't actually afford all the entertainment I've gotten from anime!

plus most of my stuff either is now releasing a dub (or doesn't have all the episodes on DVD yet), or new

Well sorry to to jump on you, but that smartass remark hit a nerve for whatever reason. I don't understand people's attitude towards professional translations, when a lot of the ones I've enjoyed are top notch. Most of the shows getting crappy dubs are really below the bar productions with ****ty plots, anyway. It's not like it's a big deal when plot is on the backburner so they can put more emphasis on HILARIOUS EXPRESSIONS and SUPERBIG MUSCLES.

People without jobs to pay for anime just further the otaku stereotype.

They don't watch subbed anime because it's the real thing, they do it because they can't get that job at the comic book store and can't afford anything outside of what their parents get them.
