You're seeing North?Sean P Kelly wrote:Good for him. I'm still seeing it.
I will not allow any critic (even Roger Ebert) to effect my choosing of what films to see (since the only opinion of the film that truly matters to me is my own).
Hmm... I guess I should've made it more obvious that the Ebert quote I posted was not about Transformers.
I agree with you completely on the second part. Ebert has given negative reviews to some films I love dearly. And occasionally, he's given positive reviews to films I disliked. Overall, I was not a big fan of the first Transformers, and unless it was getting absolutely glowing reviews from many critics, I probably wouldn't see it, as I admit to an overall bias toward small, personal art films over big-budget Hollywood blockbusters.

AVOID THIS MOVIE AT ALL COSTS
It was a terrible, terrible movie. In fact, I don't even want to discuss it right now. Give me a few days for it to wash out of my system. I feel like I have to go take a shower, it was so bad. I've never walked out on a movie before, and I came close to walking out almost 3 or 4 times. And I regret not doing it every single time.
Don't watch it. Save the money, go see Up or something, whatever. Just don't see it. Retain your knowledge of the fun that the first one was, and do not see this movie.
This is the only music I can use that can sum up this entire movie:

Question: Do they at least use the theme this time?
I mean it's not like they've recorded a new version of it for the last one.

I try to make room for both (though I would see more indie than art films)Bomby wrote:I admit to an overall bias toward small, personal art films over big-budget Hollywood blockbusters.

Saw it. The action was ok, but the jokes were horrible. Those two stupid bucktoothed robots are just annoying.
My favorite part was when that female robot was chasing them through the campus. It was cool that the robot made itself look human. That's the last thing I would've suspected.
And what was the deal with those 3 motorcycle robots? They're apparently female, and they show them breifly in like, 3 scenes, and they get smashed to bits at the end. No point in them.
HOW THE **** DOES THAT WORK
I'LL TELL YOU: IT DOESN'T. Especially in the Transformers universe. If they can turn into humans, then why the **** would they ever want to be anything else? You could get so much goddamn espionage done that way, but no. They prefer being gi-****ing-gantic cranes and ****. ****.
They can transform into humans, they can TELEPORT, they can survive on ****ing FROZEN PLANETS THAT DON'T HAVE A SUN

Whoever did that mix sounded like a total *****. They should've got Rob Zombie to do it.Macho Pan Fan-dy Savage wrote:Question: Do they at least use the theme this time?

Why can't we have opening themes like this anymore:
