Whatever happen to that masterpiece?

Nobody watched it. (that's what low ratings mean)

Sorry for the bump, but I just finished it, and thought I'd share my opinion (copied from a post I made somewhere else):

"What a huge disappointment. As a Conan movie, it was pretty good. Kogoro/Richard kicked butt and I really liked seeing Ran/Rachel live out her dream of being a princess (by the way, was that desire ever mentioned in the show?). I agree that it was a bit slow and there were a lot of talking heads.
However, as a Lupin movie, they might've been better off just leaving 'em out. Lupin only had one scene in the entire first hour of the movie, Zenigata didn't do much at all, and Goemon...well we've covered that already. Jigen and Fujiko got some nice screen time, though. I really liked the way Fujiko was portrayed, and her time with the princess was fun to watch, as were Jigen and Conan.
From the Conan episodes I've seen, I was under the impression that it contained a lot of humor. I really didn't see much here. The only time the movie actually made me laugh were Lupin's scenes.
I liked how everyone remained in-character, but the movie could've benefited from, y'know, actually featuring Lupin III! Not even the mild fanservice saved it from being a big waste of potential.
6/10"
So, Conan fans might like it, Lupin fans might not.
