Saw it. Overall, I enjoyed every minute. To be honest there wasn't a part I didn't like. I think they did very well with the characters, but the story really did connect.
Will.I.Am threw me off though, he was great. I figured he wouldn't be. And yes, Deadpool's mouth is closed Capt.
Yeah, I thought he was good, too. Still pissed about that other thing, though.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

C-, and I'm being generous here.
Deadpool, along with almost every other secondary character is wasted. All the scenes from the previews are about the extent of their appearances. Like Emma Frost turning into diamond form on the previews? THATS IT. Deadpool slicing a bullet and killing two people? That + the final fight where his mouth is sewn shut (when he actually talked in the first 20 minutes of the movie, he was dead on total waste). Gambit has about 5 minutes worth of time. Wraith gets about the same and dies. Blob is the blob for about 3 minutes of fat jokes. Its just really stupid. They teased with all these other characters, but they're barely above cameo level.

A little too much talky-talky that doesn't actually go anywhere (or over-elaborates). The parts where the movie works, it works well. There just really aren't enough of those parts.

They kill off almost every secondary character. The ones they don't kill off are on screen for 5 minutes tops. Gambit and Deadpool are horrifically wasted. Wraith getting killed was really stupid and a waste. Much like X-1, still needs MOAR SABARTUTH.

The movie works when Wolverine is having back-and-forths with other mutant characters. It doesn't work when all the other characters DIE or disappear.
Also, there is something at the very end of the credits.
There's a scene with Stryker about 1/3 of the way through on all prints. At the very end, you get 1 of 2 prints. One is Wolverine drinking in Japan, another is Deadpool's body crawling back to his severed head. Each print has a different one, which I think is insanely stupid.
Saw it. Ryan Reynolds was a scene stealer, the climax was great, the film itself was so-so

Oh, and if you stay until after the credits, you will get one of two post-credit scenes, including one
where Deadpool is revealed as still being alive, no longer has his mouth sewn, and says "Shh" to the audience (this is the one I saw, the other one apparently involves Wolverine in a Japanese bar)
^^**** YES

Lurch is exactly dead on. Saw this today, and I'd rate it above X-3, but it was a mild letdown. I liked it enough, though, and it certainly kept me entertained for an hour and a half. So yeah.

Still,
WHY did they put Gambit, Deadpool, Wraith, and Emma Frost in there if they were going to just throw most of them out of the window or be hasty with their appearances? Also, killing off secondary characters for no reason is not edgy, it's lazy.
Still, okay movie. Good movie to watch with some pals, as I did.
Alright, if the stingers were as pointless as Lurch says & the only other difference from the leaked cut was the finished graphics, then I'm going with a C as well.
If Sean's description of that one stinger is accurate....I'm still giving it a C, but holding out a little tiny bit of hope for the future.

"Okay...people are dead." Best line in it.
In hindsight, I probably would have preferred a proper forth X-Men film that this spin-off.

And they have more spin-offs in development: X-Men Origins: Magneto (don't know how that one would work) and X-Men: First Class (about the X-Men's younger days at Xavier's school).

I'll see it Monday when I have time. Turns out I'm actually busiest on the weekends. By God, I am Opposite Man!
So, Ryan Reynolds, choice actor for Deadpool movie or no? So far, it sounds like they didn't really do much to bring Deadpool to the big screen. Most of the humor associated with Deadpool in an animated form seems to be in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
^Oh, Reynolds was great. It wasn't his fault.

Yeah Reynolds was insanely good for the 3 minutes he actually spoke. He actually had it pretty much down, which is why its a total waste.

^ Actually.....
Deadpool was played by two actors. Ryan Reynolds played Wade Wilson at the beginning and Scott Adkins played the actual Deadpool/Weapson XI
Also....
I read an interesting debate involving Xavier's appearance at the end. It was obvious that (like X3) they used digital de-aging on Patrick Stewart to make him appear 20 years younger, however there were some that were CONVINCED that they were seeing a 100% CGI Xavier and Stewart only provided the voice over.

^^^^Which really just says something unfortunate about the quality of the CGI.
I thought that Youngpatrickstewart was going to come out of the screen and eat me.

I saw it, and I liked it. I found it better than X3, but it's nothing compared to X-Men or X2. It was a good action flick. I would've preferred more Gambit and more speaking Deadpool.

I also got the Japanese bar scene. Though I was hoping for Deadpool
Also, during the trailers I saw something for a Peter Jackson movie with like an alien but its face was blurred out or something. I was like "wtf"

I never saw the trailer, but my best guess is that it is for District 9

EDIT: I just saw the trailer and my best guess for the blurring is that is goes along with the mockumentary feel of the trailer. OK, back on topic...

I found the movie was better then X-3, and maybe better then X-2. Yet, it just seemed like they threw characters out for no rule, but to just have another death scene. Agreeing with Galefore the movie was still able to entertain me for the complete showing.
