Wow, they went all out in the Dragon Ball movie, didn't they?

"A large ammount of Dragon Ball Evolution was shot in an abandoned jeans factory located in Durango, Mexico." - Wikipedia

^^ Did he live in an abandoned jeans factory? Hope not, 'cause I wouldn't. Nor would I film a highly anticitated film in one if I had any kind of a budget.

For the sake of clarity, my post was more ragging on the factory than the location.

I repeat, Dragonball is NOT a videogame movie, even though there are video games based on Dragonball.

*Is difficult*

Well, there's gonna be a game based of the movie. So, that's pretty close to the topic, just backwards. =|

Besides, I think you're wrong about what kind of adaptation it is. The movie could be based off of the games as well as the anime, I'm sure they took into account all forms of Dragon Ball media while making the film.

However, technically, Dragon Ball started out as a manga, so in the strictest sense, it has to be a manga adaptation...

Either way, it doesn't belong here I guess. =/

^^Who cares? If it's mentioned in the topic, why does it matter - what, you want them to make a brand new topic? There's already activity and conversation here in this one, so chill out, d00d.

I don't think this will be too bad, but Street Fighter: the Legend of Chun Li will be alot worse.

I thought I smelled sarcasm.

I watched a trailer on YT ,and the effects look pretty CG-ish.
What I'm assuming is shenron does anyway, and the green screen is pretty noticeable as well.
And for whatever reason, the trailer title says that the trailer itself was released in 09 while the trailer says that the movie is to be released in 08.Hmm.

EDIT: saw another,looks better,not great,but better.Meh.

I smell Oscar.

There's another Anime adaptation that I'm betting (hoping?) will be a lot better:

I'm more a fan of the short film/manga than the show Blood+, though I've only seen five episodes of it. Even more exciting is that it stars Jeon Ji-Hyun, who is one of the most talented young actresses in cinema today. Hopefully she can act as well in English as she can in Korean. (not that Saya says much, anyways).

Anyways, as far as Dragonball: Evolution goes, I'm gonna have to skip out on it unless Chow Yun-Fat yells "IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAND!!!" somewhere in it.
