Yes Man.

What can I say, I'll watch any movie that is free.
But this one was actually pretty good. It might be too much for some crowds, but the sense of humor fits right in with my kind of group.

Sansho the Bailiff is spectacular. I hope you are as moved by it as I was on my first viewing.

Xiu Xiu: The Sent Down Girl - 4/5
Very well made, but quite possibly the most depressing movie I've ever seen. And I've seen some pretty depressing movies.

^ That film currently has a comfy place on my all-time favourites list (and I was lucky enough to see it theatrically)

Now if only Brother's Bloom (the director's follow-up) would hurry up and get released already (the release date recently moved from December to May)

Lone Wolf & Cub: Sword of Vengeance 4/5

I think I will continue watching the series over the next week. These are quite possibly the some of the best films to come out of Japan after the deaths of Ozu and Mizoguchi.

Tropic Thunder: Director's Cut on DVD

It's one of those extended versions, where you can't really tell what was re-added unless you turn on the commentary (which is very funny BTW -- RDJ does the whole thing in character)

Yes, I'll admit it; I thought Valkyrie was good. I actually kind of forgot that I knew how it was going to end for a while. Was I wrong for hoping that there was going to be a John Woo style shootout?
