'Twas the writers' strike that killed the beast.
Second season isn't awful, seeing as we're only 5 episodes in.

Because they have to hang on to crap shows like Grey's Anatomy. Hell, I'll say it - Pushing Daisies is even better than Lost.

That's entirely untrue. Yes, it is certainly more artsy and aesthetically pleasing than Lost (or any other show I can think of, for that matter), but the writing/plotlines weren't nearly as elaborate (in the sense of keeping it novel for a long period of time) as Lost's is, and at the end of the day a show like that isn't going to appeal to a wide audience. Fair? Probably not, but that's how business works - if it's not gonna make money for you, it's not worth it.ZeldaGirl wrote:Hell, I'll say it - Pushing Daisies is even better than Lost.

^The only real "novelty" about Lost is it's ability to make **** up on the spot. The first season was awesome, as was the most recent, but those in the middle were not the greatest, as sometimes, I think the writers go for the shock value over the actual, interesting story telling. It's only just coming around again, whereas Pushing Daisies is more than just "guy brings people back to life" - it's characters are actually engaging (as in they don't annoy the hell out of me...hello, Kate), and for a show that most consider to just be "cutesy", it has it's fair share of twists and turns.
EDIT: It's not that I don't love Lost - I do - but I enjoy watching Pushing Daisies more.
