Yeah, but that one's never recognized international animated film. I've seen plenty of movies outside of Hollywood that still were released in US theaters and blow anything Pixar's done away.ZeldaGirl wrote:I'd be willing to say one of the best movies of this year, easily, and has likely cinched the Oscar for best animated film (again, easily).
Still haven't seen Wall-E, although for the hype I'd really hope it's better than Nemo.
Nemo was amusing, but not particularily inspiring.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

Too true. I know I was disappointed when they gave the Oscar to 'Finding Nemo' instead of 'Triplets of Belleville'. Likewise when 'Paprika' failed even to get nominated a couple years back...DELICIOUS POISON wrote:Yeah, but that one's never recognized international animated film. I think only the perceived upset in the Best Animated Film category was when Spirited Away won the award in 2003 (still want to see that film).Booyakasha wrote:Too true. That said, I think Wall-E is a shoe-in to win this year, because I considered it not only a great animated film, but a great film in general.
