They've been working on this for a long time. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

They've been recreating movies into musicals for a while. This is nothing new. Legally Blonde, Superman, The Lion King, Peter Pan, Hercules, SPAMALOT (which not to mention is ending this year I believe). A funny thing worth noting is that some of these shows have made it up to my hometown of Ogunquit for very brief times letting me see them more cheaply.

This...while it's weird, the director is slated to be Julie Taymor. She brought the Lion King to life...which is an INCREDIBLE show. So, there's hope.

Spider-Man. Spider - Man. Spider HYPHEN Man.
C'mon, at least spell it right.

As for the idea of a Spider-Man musical, it may work if it's done humorously. Maybe.

What would really crack me up would be a Hulk Musical. Seeing that big green bastard sing his retarded heart out would be a sight to behold.

Did I say it was? Across the Universe, though not a Broadway musical, is still a very good example of her artistic ability imo.
