I agree completely. There's no way it can match the original nor remake's quality. It's just going to be another RE4 clone or 1st person game, and altered in other undesirable ways. It'll be somewhat interesting to keep an eye on anyway.

There's a well known leaker named Dusk Golem who frequently keeps the gaming community updated when any interesting RE stuff does the behind-the-scenes rounds.

Anyway, he claims that RE0 and CV are in line to be remade, with RE1 not being in the cards, despite the 30th anniversary occurring in a few years.

Knowing how Capcom loves that bottom dollar, they surely will get around to remaking every mainline game regardless, as nonsensical as it all seems to do so.

the gamecube remake is simply sublime, to this day it still looks amazing. why remake something that's already great? just play the original or re-release it on a game store, nothing more needs to be done.

It'd never happen but I'd have liked another fixed camera entry, even if it's a spinoff like Outbreak or something. In fact, Outbreak remasters or Outbreak 3 could be good.
