I haven't heard about it for like 15 years, so that tracks.

It's unfortunate but E3 was a ghastly sight, not even a shadow of its former self. RIP.

That's a pity, as it was something a lot of gamers looked forward to in June.

I used to get excited for game reveals, but with how a lot of games decreased in quality due to microtransactions, it's just not as exciting anymore. I'm still always excited about FromSoftware reveals though!

I was glad to see Armored Core return, not because I'm a fan of the series but because it showed they were willing to revive dormant franchises. Ninja Blade 2 and Lost Kingdoms 3 would be great.

The new AC is really good, apparently, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Wonder if they'll ever revive king's field, could be cool if it had multiplayer similar to dark and darker.

I remember E3 being a big deal about 20 years ago, but it's gotten to the point of irrelevance. When they cancelled the show a few years ago, nobody really cared. Companies realized they could hold their own events/announcements without spending all that money going out to LA but still generate just as much buzz.

i remember everybody telling me how much they wanted to go to e3 20 years ago. it was the thing everybody wanted to do, it probably would have been an awesome place to go.
