YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I had to check, but 5 years since BoTW was released.

I feel happy to see a new LoZ game... are you interested in it, as well? ;)

She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds...

I didn't like BotW but if they use it as a base and improve the formula it will be good. Remove annoying stuff like crafting and weapon durability while adding back in stuff people liked about previous 3D Zeldas (like traditional dungeons), and I think it can be one of the best Zelda games ever.

There's lots of potential, but my expectations are modest.

I saw the trailer. Looks like Mario Galexy or even Skyward sword.

Honestly I do not care anymore. ANybody could come up with a better Zelda game by this point.

ALundra
Lufia
Shining Wisdom
Brave Fencer Mushashi
Secret Of Mana
Sigma Star Saga
Eastward
Bomberman Quest
Any game made via Zelda Dungeon Maker
That game on the MSX that is soughta like Adventure Island and Zelda
Crystalis, NES ( Not the same as Crystalis GBC )
Gunman's Proof
Adventure Island / Wonder boy series ( the many other games like these )

The list goes on forever. Le ts also have an understanding. Nintendo resews code and does not program it's own games.
Donkey Kong was outsourced. The NES was inspired by NEC that was inspired by a news reporter/magazine writer, and was made by
a man leaving another company, eventually redesigned to be the more like VHS/BETA.
The Gameboy was made by somebody resewing outdated technology. Starfox was made by Argunauts ( etc ), and only Miyamoto did that
Fox, Monkey, animal character talk They reused the SF2 code in the N64 game.
Yoshi came from a a game called Dragon Egg. Adies for the simplified children bookartwork the original PCE game /arcade had some great
airbrushed with water colors and everything.. Even if it is illustrated.

..........Just seeing how somebody could use Unity or even

.......

At this point in time Nintendo is beating a dead horse. We are not the five year olds that would play Zelda, watch, read, drink or whatever Zelda. We are the grown-ups who should be making our own creations wherever, or whatever they take us towards. I could sit their in
BOTW ( or even HYrule Warriors ) and break out my pan, herbs, and what nots and make all kinds of treats. But seriously even the original
OOT had you go on a colleciton, mini-game spree. I probably came back to that game just to complete the extra stuff, or mini-games.

That being said employees at Nintendo do not care about their peers or any creativity at all. All they see is a brand, a license, a product to be exploited. Just like that guy on Youtube who would not STFU about exploiting Final Fantas VII.
I remember thinking one time. I have to collect all the figures or bs like that but then again I think that maybe it would not be such a good idea.

................

Stop worshiping nothingness and make your nothingness. Light is just the colors of molecules and elements. Like how the sky is blue because it is Hydrogen burning bright. Reality we are not any color at all.

I'm surprised you didn't add Star Fox Adventures to that list. Rareware made the best Zelda-esque game, even better than most actual Zeldas.

Okay here is the thing. SFA is a SF game but in reality is more like "Jetforce Gemini" which goes back into what is an RPG?

The thing is that Zelda is top-down, and not 2d and being that as it may, , ,,, We might as well call it a MEtroid-vania.
me.

SFA is more in line with "Conkers Bad Fur Day". even comparable to "Mario 64" . Again while you do collect things in the game it is more like GTA.

Then we go back into that old argument

Hey, that looks pretty neat. I wasn't the biggest BotW fan but this seems like it'll be a significant improvement, everything looks more exciting. I like the redesign Zelda has.

I just wonder if it has traditional temples this time, like the Water Temple/Forest Temple type of thing Zelda always used to have before BotW. I missed that.

nice to see someone mention alundra in here, i loved alundra. very obscure game on the psx but seriously underrated, its like a macabre lttp with dark psychological elements.

i'm not sure what to make of tears atm, i liked botw enough but i wasn't totally blown away with it either. way too much asset dumping/repetition. for a game that was meant to be about exploration there wasn't enough original content to actually explore, regardless of how big the world was.

i also want hearts back in the game, the cooking system broke the combat. as soon as you figure out you can carry around a million cooked recipes around with you it makes it impossible to actually die UNLESS enemies kill you in one hit. that's why enemies would kill you so easily in botw, otherwise it would be impossible to die.

...I wanted to like 'Brave Fencer Musashi', buf it wasn't very good. It was like a lousy rotten no-dang-good 'Mystical Ninja 64'.

(EDIT: 'Mystical Ninja 64' was a pretty rad Zelda imitator, come to that. Good game. I should dig it out and play it all over again.)

^ Same. I wanted to like Brave Fencer Musashi too, but I couldn't like it. I barely gave it a chance to be fair, though that opening corridor sure didn't instill much desire to keep pressing forward.

Mystical Ninja was definitely better. I liked that but I didn't have a memory card way back in the day, so I couldn't save my game and didn't get far in that either.

'Brave Fencer Musashi' is bad boring biz. If you want a good PSX late-nineties action-RPG, you're better off checking out 'Dew Prism' (or 'Threads of Fate'. I forget what it's called.)

Oh yeah, Threads of Fate is amazing, it was a real hidden gem for me. It was very fun, the only thing is the guy's playthrough wasn't nearly as good, I didn't care for his transformation gimmick.

Square was on top of things back then, gotta respect how much output they had. There's still a couple of their PS1 and PS2 games I haven't even tried yet.

Good soundtrack, 'Dew Prism' had. I downloaded it on Napster in college.

...you know, I actually liked Rue's story better than Mint's. I know, I know--------crown me fool.
