Oh you're right, songs and albums that are universally praised by critics are obviously garbage.
I'm sure many people loved Linkin Park's debut.

I think it's funny when someone comes up with a 100% subjective arguement and thinks that makes them the only one who's right.-jay

It's boring saying "well, that's just your opinion" all the time.

Except unlike Linkin Park, Zepp and Pink withstood the test of time and are STILL claimed as top examples in the overall genre.

I'm out of objective arguments at this point, so hey, time for a cop-out!

Zepp had some concept of class, I'll admit. I can't imagine why people can tolerate Pink Floyd, though. I listen to Dark Side of the Moon and think it's the cheesiest god damned thing I've ever heard, with the backing vocals and such. None of it elicits an emotional response from me whatsoever. On the other hand, when I listen to Miles Davis's Bitches Brew, it's like the fact that it was made over thirty years ago doesn't matter at all. It doesn't have the whole "I'm looking over a historical document" feeling that I get with classic rock.

The bottom line for me, in my personal experience, is that rarely was any truly classic music at any time pop music.

Pink Floyd is tolerable if you've had a healthy (read:unhealthy) dosage of marijuana smoke.

The Wall and Animals. The rest of Pink Floyd sucks, it's true.

Wish You Were Here is magnificent.

You know what? I just realized that when I was naming innovators, I only named post-Beatles acts! How could I forget Chuck Berry? Buddy Holly? Fats Domino?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Wish You Were Here? I didn't care for it that much. At least it wasn't as bad as Relics.

But that's just my opinion.

The kid as the main singer didn't slaughter it that badly, but the background singers, ugh.

Instead of paying money to listen to these people destroy music, I shall turn on my blender and listen to the wonderful, free music to be heard.

*Turns blender on to high* All right! High Power, Milkshake redux! Grind it out, electric motor! Vrmmmm!!!!

Also, I am left, and no one can stop me. For I am rejective.
