Jobs

Okay, so apparently I need to do this first because I can't add items without it.
  • Job
  • Description
  • Icon (if applicable)
  • Requirements (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA, Level)
  • Stat Bonuses (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA)
  • Payment (how much and how often)
  • Does this job evolve into something else?
For now I'm just going to create one lower level job that everyone can be without any requirements.

More balance in character elments, plz.

The fact that Earth gets the boosts it does while Poison gets the boosts it does is disgusting. DISGUSTING

You should start thinking about specialized offshoots of soldier. Say, barbarian, paladin, knight, ranger, etc.

Also, start a mage class already.

And bards. Just because.

Ok, here's the beginnings of an evolution tree.
  • Job -> Pick Pocket
  • Description -> Petty criminal.
  • Icon (if applicable) -> Image
  • Requirements (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA, Level) -> None
  • Stat Bonuses (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA) -> + 1% Eva
  • Payment (how much and how often) -> Between 1 and 30 munnys (random if possible)
  • Does this job evolve into something else? -> Yes, Thief.
  • Job -> Thief
  • Description -> Capable thug.
  • Icon (if applicable) -> Image
  • Requirements (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA, Level) -> level 2
  • Stat Bonuses (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA) -> + 3% Eva, + 1% Str
  • Payment (how much and how often) -> Between 30 and 60 munnys (again, random if possible)
  • Does this job evolve into something else? -> Not sure yet.
Question, do stats stack as you evolve? I mean if a character evolved froma pickpocket to a thief would they get +4% Eva or +3%?

This kind of stuff is right up my alley. I've been doing this crap in the RPing Forum for like four years.

Um... one thing here. I chose Soldier before anything else was available and now I can't change my class. That kind of sucks. Can you do something about that?

No idea whether stats stack as you evolve.

Everyone's jobs should have reset last night, but there is now an item in the store to reset them.

How about something Undead? I like zombies and ghosts and stuff. That could be awesome.

^ I'm not sure if a zombie could be considered a job. It might make a good AI battle bot, though.

An undead class would be a good idea. If you can come up with some way to differentiate it from the rest in terms of strengths/weaknesses.

I was just thinking of one untapped class type. Of course, the more we have the tougher balance gets. But I'm thinking something that gets most of their bonuses dumped into HP would be good. Something that could get 30-50% more HP than the rest of the classes without even trying. Perhaps some sort of religious line (i.e. priest) would be suited to this.

Just tossing out ideas here.

How about Acolyte- Cleric- Bishop- Saint?

It could get bonuses to mostly HP and MP, and have access to the restorative magic and some attack spells.

I'll take it under consideration.

Hey, I think a good job would to be a robot.

Stats
* Job-Robot
* Description-A mechanic powerful killing machine, can also eat doughnuts
* Requirements (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA, Level) Level-5
* Stat Bonuses (HP, MP, STR, DEF, VIT, EVA)HP-30 MP-You lose 50 STR-50 DEF-10 VIT-5 EVA-Lose 5
* Payment (how much and how often)100 24 hrs
* Does this job evolve into something else? Plasma Robot

*Plasma Robot
*A more advanced robot, can now utilize the power of plasma
*Level requirement-20
*HP-100 STR-100 DEF-30 VIT-20 same losses as a robot
*200 munny 24 hrs
* Evolves into Android

*Android
*While utilizing the power of plasma, Androids can now use the powers of magic
*Level requirement-30
*Stat bonuses-HP-1000 STR-500 DEF-300 VIT-100 Same losses as robot and Plasma bot
*Sallary-500 24 hrs
*Does not evolve

Again I think this would be a cool new job.

I second the Acolyte-Cleric-Bishop-Saint idea. They could learn exclusive attacks like Holy or higher level Cure attacks.

A Undead class would also be nice(Good idea, whoever thought of this). They could use claws or tridents/spears for weapons(Sprites?), and they could use diferent skulls for class items.

My idea on Undead tree: Zombie-Skeleton-Demon-Ultima Demon

Other stuff: A Samurai and a Lancer/Dragoon could be nice "ultimate"/"before ultimate" jobs for the Brawler and Page trees(Not sure about the Page tree though), but that won't be looked at for awhile. Also I think that the job "Chemist" should be the first in the mage tree, then wizard, then Mage, then Magus. Arch-Mage then could be the "ultimate" class for Mages...

Oh yeah, is it possible to show both the Male and Female sprites for each job(Well, atleast the ones that actually have the sprites)?

The robot class is too similar to the fighting class, and I don't think you can subtract points (maybe you can, but I haven't tried).

Eventually I don't have a problem expanding to 5 jobs per class... assuming someone actually makes it to the top of their chosen profession.

Not possible to show multiple sprites per job.

Edit: you actually can subtract points. That opens up all sorts of possibilities.
