Thought you might like to "win" some more marshmallows...

Do you know the answers to the following? Give a True or False answer...

1. Hydrogen is least abundant element in the Universe?

2. Sharks are immune to cancer?

3. A bolt of lightning is roughly six times hotter than the sun?

4. Human eyes grow bigger as we age; like our ears and nose?

5. An Astronaut can "grow" up to 2 inches taller after spending time in space?

6. Ants need 9 hours of sleep a day?

7. Porcupines float in water?

8. The brain uses more than 25% of the oxygen taken in by the body?

9. Sunlight reaches the Earth in 8 minutes and 20 seconds traveling at 186,282mps?

10. Cars were first made with ignition keys in 1976?

1. False. Hydrogen, the simplest element, is the most abundant. The least abundant would be the host of man-made elements with halflives less than a tenth of a second.

2. False. Sharks can get cancer as any other multi-celled organism. It is an urban legend, as sharks have cartlidgenous skeletons, which have a lower rate of cancer than regular bone.

3. True. It's pretty hot. Not as hot as HotD.

4. True, I guess.

5. True. Gaps between joints expand with fluid when pressure isn't applied to them.

6. False. Ants do take micronaps, but don't actually, like, go to bed.

7. Probably true. I see no reason why they'd be denser than water.

8. Probably true. The brain is pretty greedy.

9. Approximately true, within two or three sig figs.

10. I have no idea. I'll say true, because it seems like an arbitrary date.

1. Hydrogen is least abundant element in the Universe?
FALSE. Thank you, Fairly Odd Parents.
2. Sharks are immune to cancer?
I may have to say false.
3. A bolt of lightning is roughly six times hotter than the sun?
False. Maybe one sixth the temp.
4. Human eyes grow bigger as we age; like our ears and nose?
False: They stay the same, I believe.
5. An Astronaut can "grow" up to 2 inches taller after spending time in space?
True. The effects of gravity cause the body to stretch out due to muscle memory or something due to the effects of gravity. Rather unhealthy.
6. Ants need 9 hours of sleep a day?
False. They sleep?
7. Porcupines float in water?
Well, if they're mammals, I guess true.
8. The brain uses more than 25% of the oxygen taken in by the body?
Wow. Um, true?
9. Sunlight reaches the Earth in 8 minutes and 20 seconds traveling at 186,282mps?
Probably true, but what the hell do I know?
10. Cars were first made with ignition keys in 1976?
Er, false. I think.

1. False.
2. False.
3. True.
4. False.
5. True.
6. False, I know this after owning my own ant farm. XD
7. They float alright.
8. True, the brain uses the most energy in the body, and therefor needs more oxygen.
9. Around that, so true.
10. False, I think it was a bit before that.
