All I can say is this: If you enjoy quality content, you should watch this 8-episode season on Netflix before it gets spoiled for you. It's great.

Who else has watched it? My wife and I were thrilled with how good this was.

I can't get over how good the cast is. Like it's hard for most movies and shows to find one decent child actor and this show has so many
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

We binge-watched this show in two days. I love the characters (especially Hops) and how they are stereotypical for the Steven Spielberg/Steven King style that the show flawlessly accomplishes, yet they never feel stale or forced. Ditto about the child actors. They're really great. I only have one criticism, but it has to do with plot.
I hate how everyone either doesn't care or forgets about Barbara. Even after they figure out her fate. Even a scene with her mom being crazy bent out of shape would have been nice or a tiny funeral scene.
But that's a minor thing in the scheme of things. Great show. Definitely worth watching if you find the idea of a Sci-Fi Goonies intriguing.

I was going to consider watching this until UN said "sci-fi Goonies." I hate the Goonies. :P

((will probably still check out, I've heard great things))

Admittedly better than the Goonies. Sorry I ruined it with bad comparisons. :p

I watched the whole season in one sitting and I absolutely loved it. The casting was fantastic, especially David Harbour as Hopper and Winona Ryder as Joyce. Both their performances were so god damn believable.

not like it needed confirmation because it was so obvious, but Ben Schwartz has confirmed that Steve is Jean-ralphio from Parks and rec's real dad.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes
