I'm sorry, 'another' unfunny Seth Rogen movie? Like, implying he's had nothing but?

Not to say he hasn't had a couple stinkers, but Seth Rogen's hits outweigh his misses, far as I'm concerned. He certainly isn't at the 'throw up your hands and dismiss as a lost cause' stage, the way Seth McFarlane, Happy Madison and them Setzer/Freiberg assh*les are.

Okay, we're all missing the point here:

How the **** does pubic hair earn an NC-17 rating? For ****'s sake, you can kill a bunch of people and still get away with a PG-13.

No interest at all, but I generally like Seth Rogen.

Ehhhhh. Feel like I could only watch this and enjoy it if I was under the influence of something.

[QUOTE="Bomby, post: 1604662, member: 17840"]Okay, we're all missing the point here:

Full frontal nudity is generally an R. NC-17 requires actual sexual content, doesn't it? 'Showgirls' was an NC-17 (and it really shouldn't have been----------most of it was incredibly tame, compared to things you can watch on the internet today for free) (most of it was incredibly lame, come to that. Bad movie. Not really even the entertaining kind of bad, unless one has an unseemly desire to see the Kwisatz Haderach locked in coitus with the weird-looking nerd-girl from 'Saved By the Bell'. Pretty boring and trite). 'Caligula' was an X (I'll concede that was deserved. There's the entertaining kind of bad. Hardcore porn, plus performances by Malcolm McDowell, Helen Mirren and Peter O'Toole?!? Hey, don't go threatening me with a good time!!). The mere depiction of pubic hair shouldn't put something on a level above 'Kill Bill', is the main point, especially in a CGI flick.

...one presumes there's going to be some outrage about this movie, incidentally. I mean, it's bound to occur--------some people are going to take their kids to this, ignoring the R-rating because they're f*cking retarded, and they're going to raise Cain after the fact. I believe it's inevitable.

Scrote hair: we don't do that here. All testes must be shaven.

I think Rogen's made some funny stuff on occasion, but I haven't seen anything recently that clicked.

Both should warrant R, IMO.

Really? Seems like a dumb fun spin on the normal CGI cartoons.

I think it's going to be the first R-rated CGI cartoon so that's cool but the movie doesn't seem to have much going for it beyond shock value.

The animation is so ugly I'm having a hard time looking at it. I saw half a trailer on YouTube and felt compelled to just turn it off.

i kinda want to see it because i like the cast but the animation style reminds me of the **** animated movies you see on Netflix

though knowing the people involved, the low-budget animation style could be a reference to Foodfight, I guess, because I've seen people compare the concept to Foodfight.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

I feel that way about almost all CGI though

I watched the trailer a second time and still had a laugh at it, so I'm not 100% on this being a bad one, tbh.

The movie isn't doing too bad with the critics, which I didn't expect.

I've also been told the movie is about religion and existentialism, which I also didn't expect.

On a negative note, there have been accusations that many animators were treated poorly by Nitrogen Studios. (unpaid overtime, uncredited in final product, etc.) You can find them here in the comments.
