Ratchet and Clank movie pre-release reviews are in...

And, they're not good.

Are you really surprised? The number of good movie adaptations of video games could be counted on the hand of a frostbite victim.

ARGH WHY! I actually thought maybe just maybe this wouldn't be terrible video game movie. Besides Wreck it Ralph I can't think of any good movies involving videos games. Why is making movies based on video games so hard for Hollywood or whoever is in charge of this.

Ratchet & Clank aren't really even that good as games IMO, take away the gameplay and you got some goofy early 2000's mascot Platformer characters to look at for two hours.

Just watched half of the pretentious, boring trailer. It failed for obvious reasons.

Yes, actually. I had high hopes that this film would be at least decent.

Sigh............... why must movies based on good video games be perpetually subjected to the fate of being ****....................
I believe in second chances, and that's why I believe in you.

If they would just faithfully adapt something with a good story then things would go well. They need to choose what would translate best to film. Heavy Rain or Metal Gear would be good.

I'll fight you.

But yeah. Once I heard they were changing Ratchet's character along with most of the original plot for the first game I had no hope for it. I wanted a stand alone story for Ratchet and Clank but I guess that's not possible.

It's gonna happen to Sly Cooper as well so look out for that.

Scene: A crowded mall:
Ethan: JAAASON?
Ethan: JASON!
Ethan JAAAAAAASON
Ethan JASON!
Ethan: JAAASON?
Ethan: JASON!

...

Scene: A rainy harbor:
Ethan: SHAWWWWWN
Ethan: SHAWN!
Ethan: SHAAAAAAAAWN
Ethan: SHAWN!

Winner of every Oscar right there.

Wuff. Was really hoping this would be rad. R&C's one of my faves, man.

...you know, maybe the movie's okay. Like since when have I ever agreed with sh*tty critics. Critics panned 'Hudson Hawk', one of my favourite movies ever. Critics like 'Shawshank', and 'Shawshank' is horrible. Maybe critics don't know sh*t.
