^Oh, wow. Man.

You know, I'll not pretend the 'Police Academy' flicks were uniformly good. (I mean, they made seven of them. Seven.) But Commandant Lassard was always funny and well-written, and likeable. Legacy character. Like, they'd long since run out of funny stuff for the likes of Steve Guttenberg, G.W. Bailey, Michael Winslow, Bobcat Goldthwait and Tim Kazurinsky to do by the time 'Mission to Moscow' came along, and yet Gaynes' scenes still worked (...more or less).

Dang. Is it weird that I'm legitimately bummed out by this?
