not the biggest fan of 80s remakes but i am SO DOWN FOR THIS YOU GUYS
as long as they don't make it superserious gritty reboot or something because roadhouse is all about the corniness
but still

Man. Ronda Rousey is hard as nails.
Not to say she's necessarily going to be a great actress, of course. Just...you know. If they were looking for someone who could project physical menace, they could have chosen a damn sight worse.

she was the only ok part of the otherwise-awful entourage movie and she was ok in fast 7

Oh so she has acted before.
I've seen people wanting her in a ton of movies, and I'm like "I know she's a good MMA fighter, but that doesn't mean she can act in a movie."
But now I see.

I think some people out there must be complaining about the genderswap for the lead in this remake. They must not value their limbs very much.

But can any man replace Patrick Swayze?
I should say that to be impossible.

^^^ Yeah, it seems lik Rousey is looking to see what else she can do since she's already become completely dominant in MMA. I think she's in at least another upcoming action movie as well. She was part of Wrestlemania last year and seems to have a good relationship with the WWE (and is open to more appearances) so I can see her quitting UFC so she can be the female equivalent of Brock Lesnar.[DOUBLEPOST=1441859682,1441859303][/DOUBLEPOST]also i don't think this will be as big of a deal as the ghostbusters thing. people LOVE ronda rousey and road house is a cult classic with a largely "ironic" fanbase (many of whom are the kind of people that love rousey) whereas ghostbusters is one of the most iconic movies of an entire decade
(i mean the ghostbusters thing shouldn't have been a big deal either but let's not get into that discussion again)

Rousey's been campaigning for Captain Marvel, so maybe this will be a good test of whether she can carry a movie.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
