An idea for an animation

I had this crazy dream last night. I don't know if it will come to fruition but I have done stop-motion animations before.
BTW - Final Fantasy VI spoilers within.

I have this part of my room where I have all my action figures set up on display. In the dream, I was using my Fisher-Price pirate ship to film a stop-motion animation of Final Fantasy VI's ending sequence - you know, where everyone's on Setzer's airship and they survived the blast from Kefka's tower.

Earlier in the dream, I also imagined filming the train scene with Cyan and Sabin using my train set that I have up in my attic. I thought of an awesome way to make Sabin do his famous suplex on the train.

I haven't done stop motion in SO long. Well, really like 2011 when I entered one for NintendoFanGirl's competition on Youtube. I actually won but she never gave me my prize (*shakes fist*). But it's something I always knew how to do since Lego Studios came out when I was a kid.

The more I thought about the dream, the more I realized I really wanted to do it. The series would be taken up in two parts. One would be called "The World of Balance", and leads up to the part of the game where Kefka disrupts the flow of magic and Celes attempts to commit suicide. It would end there as a cliffhanger (literally) The second half would be called "The World of Ruin", which would cover from Celes waking up after her attempted suicide to the end of the game.

I have pretty much all the sets used in the game. I do live in a forest and that could make for really awesome shots back there. If this could really be a thing, I wonder if anyone would be interested in helping me out, whether with the adaptation of the story or voice acting or whatever.

I don't know how I could help but I'm interested in your project.

The biggest issue I have if I end up really wanting to do this is how to depict the many characters using figurines. FF6 figurines are practically non-existant. Online, I found a very expensive Kekfa Palazzo statue in his final form. I could technically still get it someday. It's not totally out of my range. The only Terra figurine I'm aware of is from the Dissidia series, but I'm pretty sure it's non-poseable, which is a pain to work with in stop-motion animations. So ultimately I, and anyone else involved too, would have to get creative on finding action figures that look similar to the characters, or also I could do some slight arts and crafts altering some figurines. Off the top of my head I know I have a black ninja figurine from GI Joe - that could very easily be Shadow.

Maybe there's those off-brand, fake toys available, kinda like those fake Yugioh cards all over the place.

It would be hard to do using figurines unless you could invest with movable-joint ones; otherwise it would look stagnant and inexpressive. Unfortunately movable joint anime figurines are EXPENSIVE AS **** so that's probably not the way to go.

If you're set on that medium, though, its definitely feasible to make other figurines look like the characters you want. People have sewn outfits, painted makeup, and sewed new hairlines into dolls to change their looks-- that is crazy advanced, but you could at least look at thrift stores for old Barbie clothes or something that you could tweak (if you're not super into sewing super crazy outfits from scratch) for any dolls or figures you do have on hand.

Dreams are crazy good inspiration though, I hope something cool comes of this!
