They reminded me of something else.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

That line by Mikey at the end was amusing. I'll wait and see on this. It could be good, it could be not so good.

Pete Plozek may have played 'Leonardo' during production of the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but Bad Grandpa's Johnny Knoxville will now be taking over at the voice of the character. Meanwhile, Monk's Tony Shalhoub is set to provide the voice of 'Splinter'!
This **** just keeps getting better.

I think it's funny that people are upset about the race stuff, with the Shredder being played by Fichtner, because I'm guessing they don't realize this is taking place somewhere between the comics and the 03 series. In one of those, he's not even human (which was equally dumb). It's confusing especially because the original Shredder was an intentional parody of a racial stereotype.

I'm disappointed that they cast Fox as April O'Neil, who doesn't even remotely resemble someone of Irish lineage and obviously isn't even close to being a redhead. Mostly because she's a mediocre actress who's usually cast in the Bayverse for the TnA effect, but also because the Irish and redheads overall are usually given the finger because hollywood thinks it can just cast a brunette, give her a rinse, and call it a day. The first TMNT film went against conventional hollywood and cast an actress who even had freckles and didn't even cover her skin completely with foundation in some misguided attempt to hide it. Meanwhile, nevermind silly things like letting actors look like they have human skin, in the Bayverse we'll be lucky if the film isn't so color-graded you'd think its underwater.

I mean, seriously. We get it, Hollywood. You're hiding all your greenscreen stuff (99% of your 'film') under so much color grading, and it's because you can't do color-bounce interreflections between live actors and a scene that doesn't exist yet. It doesn't actually look better, though, it looks like an old video game's solution to draw distances. As much as we'd like to see it, skyscrapers aren't teal and we can't trick our brains into believing they all are. Nevermind not ever having the color green anywhere on your actors, at least your CGI characters can have it on them.

BTW, about that character model.

I guess they're swapping the "Teenage" for "Ugly"

That trailer was a lot better than the one I saw before How To Train Your Dragon 2.

I dunno...I'll probably end up seeing this movie, and I will more than likely be disappointed. But who knows, I might be surprised. At least their not making the turtles' characters super grimdark or anything.
