Harold Ramis, best known as an actor in films such as Stripes and Ghostbusters, as well as the director of films like Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, and Groundhog Day, passed away today at age 69 from complications from autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis.

Definitely an iconic figure in the world of comedy. He will be missed.

RIP, Mr. Ramis. You defined 1980s and early 1990s comedy.
