I hope they make a Star Wars anime eventually.

so there's a jedi character who gave up the life after the jedi were all wiped out and started gunslinging

which is a cool story concept with a lot of possibilities

except he keeps his retarded-ass lazersword and begins using it anew once he falls in with the rebels

hhhhh

you know, i can't but wonder how much your rebels would even trust jedi guys

they were hand in glove with the emperor for most of his ascent to power---probably a lot of rebels would think they were chumps at best, potential spies at worst

also you'd think the rebellion would attract a bunch of your former separatists from the clone war days

if i were one of the sh*tty racist cartoon characters who hung out with the trade federation guys in ep ii, id definitely have some lingering resentment against the dumbass sword dudes who led the demi-stormtroopers in cementing palpatine's iron-fisted control of the galaxy

but what do i know

I'll bet some moron complains "derp, why isn't Luke Skywalker in it?" & that it's one of the same morons who complains "derp, why isn't Iron Man in 'Agents of SHIELD'?"

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I expect Darth Vader to make a cameo in the first or second episode so he can say something like, "Inquisitor: go and kill!" or I will be very disappointed in Disney.

Of course Vader's gonna appear somehow.

Val wouldn't put it past them to somehow work Han and Chewie, or 15-year-old Luke into the series. They had Darth Maul in The Clone Wars, for ****'s sake.

I hope they expand on these types of ideas.

It'd be a little heavy and abstract for a kid's show, but I can maybe see it happening. Disney has an abundance of talent, and it stands to reason they didn't buy Lucasfilm just so they could let SW continue to wallow in mediocrity.

...or maybe they'll do exactly that, inasmuch as the stupid prequel saga made Lucas richer than Croesus and they thus have a reasonable expectation that SW fans will eat up any old garbage at this point. Hard to say, really.

Like, Disney cares about quality (a little), but they also know exactly how hard they have to work to please their target demographic---it sure as hell isn't adults tuning in to watch yuck like 'Good Luck Charlie' or 'Austin and Allie'. Man, imagine if Disney had more crossover hits. Another 'Gravity Falls' or two. That would be hype. Guess you get what you pay for. Oh well. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure each division is run more or less independently; clearly none of the creative team from Marvel is helping out with Disney Channel programming, for example.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
