NBC continues its mission to become the world's least popular television station

"Hey guys, since we have no popular shows, let's piss off the people who actually do watch our shows by pulling one of their favorites."
I get that
Community doesn't get good ratings, but the only thing they've had going for them is the dedicated niche audience they've built up by the actual quality of their half-hour comedies. But I guess people would rather watch
Two and a Half Men and
Big Bang Theory.
... not that Big Bang Theory is particularly bad, per se but it's really not my thing...
my lawyers are making me do this...
Community has bad ratings *and* is expensive to make. Small audiences are ok for cheap shows in off time.

Good is not the same as successful!

Success does indicate 'goodness' ... for a sufficiently large quantity of the population.

The channel's really going to be a wasteland if Community's cancelled. The Office and 30 Rock are in their final seasons. That pretty much leaves Parks & Rec for next year.

Why yes look at the huge quality of the Fred movies/series. And boy that opening for Batman and Robin sure was a smash hit!

A large part of the problem is that NBC does a terrible job actually promoting it's shows. When you continually switch timeslots and don't promote, of course a show isn't going to have consistent ratings!
This makes me terribly sad.

Ratings are not the only indication of success though. 30 Rock as a crap-ton of Emmys (which for all intents and purposes designates success), and has struggled with ratings (again, NBC really doesn't know how to market their shows well).

Well community was screwed from the beginning. like, originally it followed the office but like within week three it got Thursday at 8. Which is the same time big bang theory airs. hardly promoting a show that's already bound to have a more cult audience and putting it against one if the most popular shows on tv? Terrible plan.
like 30 rock has only survived this long because it's Emmy bait. I think community actually gets much better ratings
