What are some cartoons that were either cancelled, or didn't make it past the pilot episode, that you feel would have been good?

Entire cast of early Buffy was on board (except, well, Buffy). Joss Whedon, Jeph Loeb, and a bunch of Buffy writers were on board too. Nobody picked up the series, though.

I heard there was supposed to be a Power Rangers animated series back in '08.

'Korgoth of Barbaria' was pretty sweet. Shame it didn't go anywhere.
