I saw this yesterday and it was seriously magical, emotional and had me spell-bound!! There was so much imagination and 'history' and I could easily watch this film again... and maybe even again after that!!! ;)

Trailer here: IMDb - Hugo (2011)
Set in 1930s Paris, an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton.

Anyone else see this? How much did you enjoy it? :D

I really wanted to see it, as I greatly admire Martin Scorsese, but there hasn't been a 2D version in theaters in my city. I can't do 3D. It literally makes me physically ill. Blu ray comes out next week over here, though, so I'll probably rent it soon.

I can empathise, Bomby!! Some of the 3D had my head 'spinning' so I'm looking forward to seeing it in 2D, as well. :D

I prefer all movies in 2D, even when the shots are all worse for their intentional 3D framing and movements, etc.

But anyways. I would still like to see Hugo sometime. Trains and clocks and suchlike! Hooray! Maybe work will give us some free movie tickets as a bonus for the extra hours we're putting in. XD

This film was absolutely wonderful. I had decently high expectations, and it exceeded them by a mile. Scorsese proves, once again, to be one of the world's greatest filmmakers.

I've seen bits of the graphic novel this movie was based on, but I haven't seen the movie itself. I've heard of its greatness before, so I've wanted to watch it for a little while now.
