I do not understand modern entertainment. I do not understand the appeal of watching stupid, vain people acting stupid and vain. I literally cannot comprehend how anyone could possibly watch these kinds of shows and feel anything but depression, frustration, and shame for all of humankind. Do people watch these shows as a form of self-punishment? Is today's generation comprised entirely of masochists?

I just... I don't understand.

You haven't seen America's Funniest Home Videos then. Man, it cracks me up every time some guy's kid hits him in the balls with a baseball. It truly is the Shakespeare of our time.

^AFHV doesn't show vanity, only stupidity. And usually not even that, mostly just clumsiness.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

They're like quiz shows, except there's only one question (to wit---"how can we as a people be forgiven for what we have allowed to occur?"), and no one will ever know the answer.

Who was the guy who punched Snooki in the face?

They should have him on there more often.
