Colonization of space (2001: A Space Odyssey, Destroy All Monsters, Lost in Space)
Advanced cryogenics (2001: A Space Odyssey, Demolition Man)
Time travel (Deathlok, Freejack, Quantum Leap)
Robots (Astro Boy, I, Robot, Lost in Space, Mega Man)
Darling robot children (Astro Boy, Mega Man)
The world being obliterated by nuclear war (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Crystalis, Deathlok, Fist of the North Star, V for Vendetta)
