A friend and I are organizing a Bad Movie Shindig. I want suggestions. Here's the ideas I have so far:
  • A Bunch of trashy 1974 action and blaxploitation movies I picked up from the dollar store
  • Moonwalker
  • Tank Girl
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • And Ed Wood, of course.
Anything else you people can suggest in the So Bad It's Awesome category?

'Battlefield Earth' is one of the best bad movies ever. It's perfect for ripping on---every single aspect is not just bad, but hilariously bad. Totally recommend it.

^The Wicker man truly was horrible. I agree with you.

I like Nicolas Cage as an actor, but some of his movies are... iffy

My college group used to do this.

I got a 30 pack of Kung Fu movies for 12 dollars, you might be able to find the same.
60s and 70s horror movies are a must.
And anything marked Troma on the side.

^For a moment I thought you were bashing Electroma. :/

This. And try and find any of the Lone wolf and cub films.

Or, for an even better night, try and find "Monkey" or "Monkey Magic" TV series. I know that there is a complete box set availble. Cos I'm borrowing one of a friend.

The original Lone Wolf & Cub films aren't really too bad... especially when compared to that goddamn Shogun Assassin.

Hmmm....maybe some cheap monster movies. Not like Godzilla, those are great. Maybe the old Gamera movies. I mean, they're great, but can sometimes be a bit cheesey.

And oh my gosh, how could I forget? Delgo.

Hackers
Double Dragon

And the old, original live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies (I think there's three of them)

It wasn't bad in a So Bad It's Good kind of way. It was just odd. And not even that bad, really. I suppose it depends on what you were expecting.

On this note, I find the majority of horror movies to be pretty hilariously bad, but I think that's some weird mis-wiring in my brain and probably doesn't apply to So Bad It's Good for everyone else. ;)

^^ Actually, 1998's Godzilla is hilariously awful.

^^ The third one is the only one I've really heard generally negative things about.

Say what???? Okay, the two sequels can be a little cheesy, but the original film released in 1990 is the best comic book movie ever! It's perfect!

^^ Nope, Sin City is. It's the most loyal movie adaptation I've ever seen, and it's absolutely incredibly made. Or, if we want to be real jerks about it, anime movies adapted from mangas are so often ridiculously close to the original. XD

Don't get me wrong, I like the TMNT live action movie plenty. I couldn't possibly class it outright as "good", though.

^ Eh? ;)
