The Last Airbender

I'm excited about an Avatar movie, and I saw the trailer for it. Aang's tattoo arrow thingie looks cool, and so does the airbending.

Too bad that's all the trailer showed. Least. Informative. Trailer. Ever.

Still, I'm kind of an obsessive fan over the series and am excited at the concept of a movie-- what do you all think about a live-action Avatar movie? Excited? Scared?

I'm personally more excited about the upcoming movie Avatar, but I would like to see this as well.

I never watched much of the series, but what I have seen over the years was pretty good...

Kind of nervous, since Avatar is amazing, but we'll see. Every now and again, Shaymalan gets it right.

We'll see if Shamalamadingdon can get it right.

I am kind of weirded out how two Inuit-inspired characters are being played by Beverley Hills white kids, though.

Yeah, when I first heard about this I was pretty unsure. Avatar is an amazing series, here's hoping the movie can get that balance of awesome and good humor that the series had down so well.

I guess we'll just have to see... if they get it right, this could be awesome.

I'm still a bit skeptical about Shyamalan being the choice though...

Shamalot might be able to pull this off...

... UNLESS it actually turns out that THE LAST AIRBENDER is actually a MILITANT COW who is ANGERED by CHEESEBURGERS and is ALLERGIC to WATER VAPOR.

I love Avatar quite a bit, and I have high hopes for this movie. I have trust in Shaymin to get this one right, and the fight scenes look to be promising, if that trailer is any indication.

I find it funny how many different names the director has.

If his last few films are any clue, he'll cast himself as Toph or some ****.

Damn you, [strike]Shyguy[/strike][strike]Shamwow[/strike]SHYAMALAN!

You know your a fan of M Night Shyamalan when you never misspell (or mispronounce) his name.

I do think this break from thrillers will be good for him.

Oh and....

That's why they call them teaser trailers. People these days are too used to trailers that summarize the entire film.

To M. Night Shyamalan's credit, The Sixth Sense was pretty damn good, Unbreakable was decent, and Signs was entertaining until the fridge logic hit. Now let's all make the assumption that The Last Airbender won't have a twist at the end. Since he'll actually have to focus on making the rest of the movie good, I actually do believe he can pull it off...

... UNLESS it turns out that M NIGHT SHYAMALAN is actually a WEREWOLF whose ALTERNATE STATE sneaks into the EDITING ROOM at night and CHANGES HIS FILMS!

There's a Robot Chicken episode like that? Sweet.

UNLESS it turns out that they got the idea from the Imaginationland episodes od South Park.
