Transformer Energon debuted last Saturday. What did you think of it?
Personally I thought it was well done. It definately beats out Armada. More on that later.

They really shouldn't have done anything Transformers after the original series. I did like Beast Wars, but the "closure" that was Beast Machines was stupid and drawn out.
Transformers Armada, the other one that I believe was just simply called Transformers, and probably this one, are crap.

What? I can't understand why you guys think it is so bad. On its own (without comparing it to Armada) it's a good show. Good animation, so far a good story (I've only seen two epidodes), and the annoying kids are not only grown up, they're not in it much! If you do compare it to Armada, it beats Armada in every category. People that have seen all of the Japanese episodes have called it the best thing to happen to Transformers since Beast Wars (I guess we don't have many Transformers fans in here).
You guys have called it crap but have given no reasons.

No, nothing with the Transformer's name in it that was made after Beast Wars can even stand in its shadow. Japan just needs to stop with this one.

I hated Beast Wars at first, but it grew on me.

Anyone else feel kinda betrayed when they pulled out Beast Machines?
Yea I did. They tried to be too philosophical with it and that just ruined what otherwise could've been a great show.

Yeah, the whole no-guns thing tacked onto a half-assed story didn't work. Sure, the animation was sort of cool, but it didn't have the character depth or shear amount of characters BWs had.

Yea, it was only two or three seasons which was definitely the only plus side of the series.
