In an April 2006 interview, Matt Groening said, "I honestly don't see any end in sight. I think it's possible that the show will get too financially cumbersome...but right now, the show is creatively, I think, as good or better than it's ever been. The animation is incredibly detailed and imaginative, the stories do things that we haven't done before, so creatively there's no reason to quit."

No, the show isn't as good as it once was, look back at the Golden Seasons 5-14, there all good. but now, it's gets quite boring, although, last weeks ep "The Perfect Simpson's" was great. but no, most eps aren't that good.

Sadly thats the way it is for all shows. I think that only southpark can survive the end of time!

^I'll be bashed into hell for saying this, but Southpark sucks. Not just because I dislike American animation, I just honestly despise Southpark. Despise it. And I'm really not fond of the simpsons either.

Anyway, I want them both to end. If something as awesome as FMA can end, and Rurouni Kenshin... And Death Note... damn. We Americans take 'continuity' too seriosly. Comedy cannot last forever. Especially tasteless and un-funny comedy.

I would have thanked your post for this.
And I'm really not fond of the simpsons either.
But I Didn't because of this.

FMA ended because it was the end of the story line.

FMA Spoiler on the last ep.
Spoiler.
I mean once they get there body back, how on gods earth will you go on and start something new? The adventures of Al and Edd? no. It just wouldn't work, look at DBZ, they were good for a long time, but buy time they ended all the necessary story lines, and come up with random crap like Dragon Ball, it sucked.
but yah, South Park sucks.

^Took the words out of my mouth. Just be sure to ask next time before you take them again, though.

It'll end eventually. Right now it's not that great. Let's hope the movie is actually somewhat entertaining. Aka, older seasons entertaining.

Simpsons and South Park both rule.

Actually so do Rurouni Kenshin, Death Note and FMA.
Total slaughter, total slaughter. I won\'t leave a single man alive. La de da de die, genocide. La de da de dud, an ocean of blood. Let\'s begin the killing time.

Once more I reiterate: Simpsons is not funny. It's even less funny than the obligatorily unfunny Family Guy. Laughter is not so easily found by watching random yellow people dance around and comment about beer and peanuts.

But, I digress; some people enjoy cheap laughs, and therefore are in their own wold. Alas, but the sweeter meat of television is spewed from your mouths. That is your choice. Not, NOT, mine.

Oh, and VGW, it ain't Death makin' a stupid comment you need to worry about. What you need to worry about is other people disagreeing, because tht seems to affect you more than anything.

Oh yeah, and I hope Simpsons gets cancelled. Now. [activate flame-shield]

You really seem to have some sort of beef with just about all American animation. Even though you say you don't, you seem to be dissapointed by just about all of it. Your sense of humor seems to be very distinguished(or just non-existent), not the kind of person to even go near the kind of low-intelligence-required jokes made in the Simpsons.

I would say the Simpsons came out undercooked, then was taken back and reheated to perfection, and is now getting stale on the counter.

Tell me, have you watched any of Simpsons Season 4-14? If not, get out, Those were when the Simpson's were actually funny.

The newer seasons aren't horrible.

It's just they're not at the same level as the older seasons. I.E. 5-9+

I think that drawn together rules more than the simpsons and south park! It contains more racims and it is more assertive! I love Drawn together!

The problem with comedy as a genre is that it just doesn't work a second or third time, while it's fresh in the memories of the viewers. The Simpsons can go on making new shows, as can Family Guy. I don't have a problem with that - it's a hell of a lot better than any of the reality crap or daytime dramas that seem to dominate most channels. If you can't find any of the stuff on the Simpsons or Family Guy funny, you really need to get a sense of humor.

Drawn Together, on the other hand, is just total crap.

The Simpsons is getting old. Family Guy flat out sucks. Most American television is utter crap, because they sacrifice good storyline for a few fart jokes. That sucks. Anime isn't perfect either, but since most of those shows can find a way to combine excellent storyline with good humor, they succeed where American cartoons fail.

^there in lies the brilliance of American TV! they purposely do it, and make it funny, by making fun of them selves for doing so.
