I know someone in my school has has movies on his iPod. He said he got them on his iPod by getting them off a DVD. I just wanted to know if anyone out there knows how to get a DVD on to there iPod, because I have a few things I want to put on mine.

Something about watching movies on a 2-inch screen is less than appealing.

It's for traveling purposes. Like long car rides on vacations and stuff.

Personally, I would say good luck keeping the iPod alive for the entire film. Video REALLY drains the battery.
And you can buy some films from the (US) iTunes store.

There are tv-dvd player combos the hook into lighter outlets for that.

Well, as long as this topic is bumped, it should be worth while to note that those three years saw the introduction of Digital Copy, where studios include a second DVD solely for the purpose of copying the movie onto your computer (and then give you a two year deadline to use it)

^I did not know about the deadline.

I've got tons of music and TV stand up specials on iTunes that I'll put on my iPod, but I'll never put any movies. Too expensive to buy when they don't have a digital copy included, also take up a ton of space.
