What have you read this year? What did you like or dislike about it?
I read Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun tetralogy, and the world building and puzzles are fantastic.
I also read Terry Goodkind's Children of D'hara, and despite the high ratings, I was disappointed. The narrator kept talking about how strong the two main characters were, it was like reading DBZ fanfaction or playing Magus for PS3. (not actual quotes from the book)I'm looking for other gods. Where's this power emanating from? Oh it's from meeee!
