Stirling Summer Series 2023

Lindsey Stirling came to town! She was incredible. Her shows just get cooler & cooler every time.
Walk Off the Earth opened, & they kicked butt too.
The venue is pretty miserable. The Saint Louis Music Park is only a few years old, but its layout & location seem purposely designed to infuriate (and, if you happen to be attending with somebody who has limited mobility, it makes just *entering & exiting* the venue an ordeal that could be avoided with even the slightest thought applied). Also, it's a Ticketmaster-owned venue, & they try to force you to use their stupid app for your tickets, unless you go to the box office in person (thus missing out on the entire presale window) & show them that you don't have a smartphone. Also, because of the noise curfew of the suburb it's located in, they made the openers start 15 minutes before the listed showtime. At least the weather was nice (it's open-air). This is Lindsey's 2nd show in that joint; I really hope she books a different venue on her next tour.
But anyway, back to good things, here's the program (if I put something in parentheses, then there's a significant difference between the studio & live versions, whether in sound or in sight)....
During openers' set:
Long Way Home
Main Setlist:
Beyond the Veil
Underground
Artemis
The Arena
Shatter Me (aerial)
Toccata and Fugue
[Interlude: Puppy Dance]
Masquerade
Hold My Heart (with Sarah Blackwood filling in for ZZ Ward)
Moon Trance
Roundtable Rival/The Upside (medley) [we didn't have an audience guest though]
Carol of the Bells
[Interlude: Narration]
Crystallize (aerial)
Mirage
Don't Let This Feeling Fade (with Gianni Luminati filling in for Rivers Cuomo)
Guardian/Lose You Now (they're 2 different mixes of the same song that she mashed up for the tour)
Encore:
Love Goes On and On (aerial)
Kashmir
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
