Hmmm. I've never really ever watched any of those old American panel comedy shows. Seen some funny clips, though. I remember one from 'Hollywood Squares'------------Gilbert Gottfried was the final square both players needed to win, and neither one could get him. The first round ended up taking the entire show to get through------------eventually Gottfried screaming 'You fool!' at the players every time they answered. The audience was absolutely howling by the end.

^I saw that clip! He was clearly bluffing every time on purpose to make it easy for them, & the contestants took the whole dang half-hour to catch on.

It's a really funny thing. You don't get that kind of magic in a scripted show---‐--------it takes a stupid game or an interview with Conan and Courtney Thorne-Smith to get there.
