James Cameron is producing and Robert Rodriguez is directing a film based on the manga
Battle Angel Alita, coming out next year. You can check out the trailer

I watched some of 'Alita' back when I worked my way through the Blockbuster's anime section back in high school. Barely remember any of it.
Jeepers creepers, where'd she get those peepers.

The Super Best Friends Cast posited an even worse possible outcome - the movie makes back its budget, and the studios think "That's it! The key to success with anime adaptations is mutant eyes!" and EVERY ANIME ADAPTATION becomes like this...
